Rapid Toxicity Assessment Featured at 2010 North American Environmental Field Conference
Vista, California, November 10, 2009 — Assure Controls, Inc. has been selected as a panel presentation and indoor workshop at the North American Environmental Field Conference and Exposition being held in Tampa, Florida, January 12-15. The conference provides a forum to discuss advances and innovations in environmental site characterization, sampling, monitoring and remediation technology. The Nielsen Environmental Field School organizes this conference to showcase the latest technologies for solving environmental issues. Prior conferences attracted more than 600 professionals including: environmental consultants and contractors; Federal, State, tribal, regional, county and local government officials (regulatory and non-regulatory); DOD and DOE environmental staff and contractors; private industry environmental staff.
“Rapid Toxicity Assessments (RTA’s) to Optimize Water Quality Testing Budgets” is one of the 25-minute presentations given by leading experts in the field discussing technology and practices related to environmental site characterization, monitoring, sampling and remediation.
“Performing Rapid Toxicity Assessments with Freshwater, Marine and Sediment Samples” is one of the 50 workshops at the conference. Assure Controls’ two hour workshop is designed to educate attendees on the QwikLite 200 Biosensor System; a proprietary technology that enables faster and more frequent toxicity testing, providing the capability to focus scarce resources and improve management decision-making for water quality.
The Nielsen Environmental Field School was established in 1990 by David M. Nielsen and Gillian L.
